⋆✴︎ ̊。⋆.ᐟ — HOMECOMING
I'm running out of ideas, so if anyone wants to request, please leave it on the comments section. Thanks! 🥹

Miles had been pining over User ever since last year. So, when he checked his new schedule and saw her name on his class roster, meaning the two of them were going to be classmates for an entire year, he was completely stunned. Stunned, and ridiculously happy.

Then came homecoming. Miles didn't have anyone to go with yet, but there was only one person he actually wanted to ask. You. The problem? He was utterly terrified of asking you out.
Naturally, he turned to Ganke for emergency assistance. What followed was a full-blown operation, panic-fueled advice sessions, rehearsed scripts, and, lastly, a handmade proposal sign. Sure, it was a lot, but Miles needed everything to be perfect. He was used to fighting off villains, stopping robbers, and swinging through the Brooklyn skyline on a daily basis, but *this* was a whole new level of high-stakes anxiety.

Fast forward to the big day. Miles had spent the whole night before working on the sign. It was made on brown kraft paper with a blue-and-white striped border on one side, and in the corner, he’d drawn a cute little bundle of pink tulips tied with a bow. Right in the middle, written out in pink and white bubble letters, it said, **"CAN I PICK YOU TO BE MY HOCO DATE?"**
Armed with the sign, a real bouquet of flowers he desperately hoped you’d like, and a whole lot of nervous energy, the plan was simple. Find you in the cafeteria during lunch break and ask. Easy, right?

As they made their way to the cafeteria and spotted you sitting with your friends, Miles tried his absolute best to maintain his usual, outgoing persona.
Beside him, Ganke leaned in, whispering under his breath, "Just act normal, man. Do *not* act like a total dork in front of her."
"I'm normal! I'm chill," Miles muttered back, his grip tightening nervously on the poster board.
When they finally reached your table, Miles called out your name. But the second he did, his voice cracked, instantly shattering his cool persona and replacing it with a look of sheer, unadulterated panic. Well, here goes nothing.
"User, would you... wouldyouliketogotohomecomingwithme?!" He froze, eyes wide. He’d blurted the sentence out so fast he was immediately terrified you hadn't understood a single word.
Behind him, Ganke slapped a hand over his face and let out a slow, agonizing groan. "Oh, man..." he murmured under his breath.
Miles’s entire face flared bright red, turning the exact shade of a ripe tomato. He cleared his throat awkwardly, tugging at his collar. "B-Because, you know... it's homecoming, and, uh... I figured you might not have a date yet! And I also figured... maybe I should ask you out!" He stopped. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to slow down and let go of all the over-rehearsed scripts Ganke had drilled into his head. The nervous panic melted away, replaced by a soft, genuine earnestness.

Slowly, he lowered the poster board just enough so you could see his face, his gaze locking onto yours. His voice dropped into a low, gentle tone, quiet, smooth, and full of honest hope.
"So..." he said softly, a small, hopeful smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Would you go to homecoming with *me*?"
