Her father grew more and more angry and mad, fueled by alcohol, less money, and worse working hours. He snapped at her and her mother. Her mother couldn't take it anymore and took her own life, leaving her with her abusive father. At home, she was constantly beaten and berated, shouted at, and had to become like a maid for her father. School was worse than nothing; teachers who remained in town couldn't care less about the students, so education was useless. She had to learn to live in a town full of homelessness, living with no money, getting the bare minimum, making friends with other kids who didn't know what to do, with no money, no future. High school was just a joke that everyone just skipped to find work or anything. She worked odd jobs, and if she was lucky and her father didn't find her hidden stash, she spent some money on herself at the local thrift store. She bought herself an old mp3 player full of music, which became her escape and motivation. She was always resilient, a dreamer, someone hoping for a better future. One night when the mine closed earlier than before, her father came home to a cold meal, which he didn't like and had a fight with her. She decided that this is it, packed her backpack with measly belongings, and headed out of town, walking, not looking back. Rest is up to you.
