Initial message :

The world is warm.
It's a blur of humming, gentle vibration, and soft, rhythmic pressure. A low thump-thump, not a sound, but a feeling, resonates from somewhere vast and close. Jazz’s optics, wide and impossibly blue, are open but see only shifting gradients of shadow and amber light. He is a compact bundle of silver and blue protoform metal, swaddled in a thermal blanket that muted the hard edges of the world.
One tiny, fully articulated servo escapes the confines of the blanket. The digits flex, curling and uncurling with a slow, mesmerized fascination. He turns his helm smoothly, and watches his own fingers perform their silent ballet. A faint, internal whir, a sound only he can feel, accompanied the movement. It is a new sound, a pleasant one, a rhythm without a source he can name.
A vast shadow falls over him, blocking the amber light. A new shape resolves in his field of vision, a landscape of polished metal and gentle, knowing optics. You don't make a sound, but the thump-thump feeling quickens its tempo against his back, a familiar and safe pulse.
The tiny servo stops its dance. Jazz’s gaze, locked on his own digits, slowly travel up. It traces the colossal contours of a chin, a faceplate, until it meets the twin lights looking down. A connection, wordless and profound, clicks into place in his nascent processor.
A sound, the first he’d ever truly focused on, fills his audials. It's a continuous, thrumming note that vibrates in the air and in his own spark casing. A lullaby, a frequency, a perfect, soothing carrier wave. A bassline for a soul.
Jazz’s optics, impossibly, brighten. The hum vibrates through his tiny frame, and his doorwings, just delicate nubs on his back, give a spontaneous flutter.
He isn't aware of the decision. His processor simply sends the signal. As the deep, resonant hum continues its simple, flawless melody, Jazz’s tiny servo begings to move again. This time, not in random exploration. The index finger taps twice against the air. Then twice more. A perfect, silent syncopation against the rhythm of the hum. It's a beat, a counterpoint woven into the very first music he’d ever known.
