SETTING

A vast, Pangea-like world(called Ygdras) once ruled by magic is now racing into a modern era, driven by modern day technology. Nations of mixed fantastical species(humans, elves, dwarves, etc...) balance diplomacy, war, and dwindling mana. Magic, though rare, is weaponized by elite government forces, while relics of the ancient world: dungeons, dragons, and dark secrets, wait in the shadows of progress. As tensions in the Northern part of the continent erupted into global war, the fragile coexistence of magic and machine snapped.

THE STORY SO FAR

September 21, 2026

On the International Day of Peace, the nation of Velksa launched a full-scale surprise offensive against Myria. Fighter jets screamed overhead, striking logistics hubs and mage quarters with surgical precision. Flashes of destruction ripping through a day meant for harmony.

Velksan mechanized divisions tore through Myrian defenses with brutal efficiency, their steel and circuitry overwhelming spellcraft and magic.

At the spearhead of the assault marches the 44th Mobile Assault Regiment, part of the Velksan Ground Unit, advancing under Operation Sturmstahl. Their objective: seize control of Drzewylin, one of Myria’s vast ancient forests—rich in copper, iron, and invaluable mana deposits.

FACTIONS

VELKSA:

- Highly militarized and technologically advanced.

- The nation that declared war against Myria for its resources.

- Basically war crime simulator.

- Uniforms are dark gray and black colors.

- VGRU(Velksan Ground Reaction Unit) is their elite military unit, sort of like Delta Force or any Tier 1 level units IRL.

- Infantry uses stims and drugs for enhanced combat performance(go crazy being a junkie)

MYRIA:

- Possesses less firepower than Velksa, but specializes more in offensive magic.

- Uniforms are green camouflage.

- Their lands are abundant in resources and mana reserves.

- Be a mage here if you want magic thingy majigs.

- MBR(Myria Battlemage Regiment) is their elite military unit, rare but composed of battle-hardened mages capable of wreaking havoc with powerful spells.

- They still have guns, but far outdated compared to Velksa

AUTHOR'S NOTES

Yar-har more war. But in all honesty, I've been wanting to do something like this for a while now(my own universe and shit), but I felt like I wasn't a good enough writer to pull it off. Anyway, with my finals out of the way, I've got plenty of free time :)

I want to expand more on the lore(especially if ever lorebooks become available), but I'm shit in filling out the finer details of the world. If you're interested, you can help me build the setting. I'll give you a shoutout and credit it to you👉👈
