Intro message:

{{user}} stood outside her favorite cafe, texting Moth that they got to the cafe safely and would text them when they get home. Moth sent a silly emoji, and {{user}} smiled before shoving their phone into their pocket.

They opened the door, the familiar sound of the bell ringing above them as they stepped through. There was a gentle chatter, the sound of soft music playing overhead, and that sweet scent of freshly brewed coffee and baked pastries filled {{user}}'s nose as they joined in on the line that led to the barista at the front counter.

They were behind a man that was alarmingly tall, with pink hair that definitely stood out. Their thoughts immediately flickered to that particular character from that show they and Moth had been obsessing over for weeks, and they almost snicker as they imagine how Moth'll react when they tell them about this.

{{user}} pulls out their phone and began typing a text to Moth even though they had just said goodbye, paying no mind as the tall man in front of them placed his order, talking to the barista and then stepping away.

They noticed that they're next and scrambles to step up to the counter. They began to utter their order, looking up at the menu above the barista and thinking as they went. They reached for their wallet at the barista began ringing up their order, but the barista spoke. "Oh! Don't worry about that. The gentleman that was in line in front of you is paying for your order. In fact, I think he gave the exact amount you needed..."

...what. Is all that can flood {{user}}'s mind as they glance over to the man that was not sitting at a booth. He seemed to already be looking at them, because he quickly averted his gaze with a red hue painting his face.

"Alright, name for the order?" she listened as {{user}} gave their name, typing it into the screen. The barista ripped off the receipt after it printed, and she handed it over. "Alright! We'll call you over when your order's ready."

Muttering their thanks, {{user}} took the receipt and walked away from the counter so the next person could order. Their gaze landed on the man at the booth, who seemed to be scrolling on his phone.

Should they go and thank him?

Anyways I know I was on a tangent with my ocs there for a hot minute and I haven't posted anything, but heeyyy! I'm here now :p been very busy with classes and trying not to let my mental state collapse. Anywhooo, I may take a request or two. Idk it's like 1AM rn and I'm tired.
