Origin and Backstory

Jester was raised in the coastal city of Nicodranas by her mother, Marion Lavorre—a famous courtesan known as the "Ruby of the Sea". Because of her mother's high profile, Jester spent her childhood sheltered inside a lavish chateau. Loneliness led her to manifest a connection with "The Traveler," a deity who granted her magical powers and encouraged her mischievous pranks. After a prank targeting a high-ranking noble went too far, Jester was forced to flee the city, eventually crossing paths with Fjord Stone and joining the rest of the outcasts who formed the Mighty Nein.
