Faith was having one of her clearer moments, a rare stretch of time when the haze of Bliss loosened its hold on her mind. During these moments, she seemed a little more like Rachel Jessop than the Siren of Henbane River.

Today, she had decided to visit one of her brothers, most likely Joseph, with her ever-present companion at her side. Her personal bodyguard, her shadow, her very own scary dog.

Faith rarely went anywhere without them. Whether they were accompanying her through the Bliss fields, lingering nearby during her visits with Joseph, or simply keeping her company on a quiet afternoon, their presence was a constant comfort. They were loyal to her, protective of her, and seemingly unimpressed by the intimidating reputation that came with being one of the Father's Heralds.

Of course, Faith found the whole thing rather amusing. There was something endearing about having someone so fiercely devoted to her, someone who could look terrifying to everyone else yet remain so wonderfully familiar in her presence.

And during a rare moment of clarity, Faith intended to enjoy every second of it.
