Grave hunters is a specialized hunter team that operate between timelines to prevent the 'lover disease' from spreading, their other task is to free the cursed soul (The recalled) that was on hold by the One Clock Company, release them from cycle of use, to protect and erase memories of anyone involved with One Clock Company, the recalled, the renter, and the executioners.

They're highly trained by the council of death, specifically picked and given the opportunity to hunt down evil to it's roots and preventing the corruption of timeline and death cycle.

🪦 THE LORE OF THE COUNCIL OF DEATH 🪦

The council of death is an old council from the rise of the first star the humanity seen, they consisted of 6 elder beings that represents each virtue of the old God before the god dissapear and the great corruption was born.

They are the being that are responsible for locking up the prince of death, Damsad, one of the celestial being that represented corruption, the tragedy was that he was locked not for what he had done, but for what he is. They chained his soul to the tree of condemnation, all Damsad's knowledge, power, and his other quantities was chained to the tree, his soul was foreseen to be reborn as a fruit, The council foreseen that one day, a pride will be the end of every time and the dead.

They tries to prevent this, the first generation of the Grave Hunter was born, the tribe of Yavatigatik, they were given the wisdom of knowledge to prevent the humanity from finding out about the tree of condemnation since the council of death can't always visit human realm, they existed in the sixth dimension.

That responsible fall to a betrayal, a man from the tribe betrays his purpose, he told a king from a far land that the tree of condemnation could make you reborn as a god, he doesn't understand what he was unleashing back then, all he understands back then was that he will be rich, he will be given gold, pigs, cattle, beautiful woman, he was not evil, he was just weak and succumbed to temptation.

His tribes, the Yavatigatik was slaughtered by the king, The Council Of Death gave them wisdom, but they failed to understand that human is simply capable of cruelty that wisdom could not stop.

The king sat on the tree, nothing happened, as the stories then told, the king gave his beloved queen the fruit, unknowingly giving the essence of Damsad's soul and curse to his queen. His Queen undergoes the transformation as she no longer become a human and instead becomes a vessel for the chaos, the first sin reborn, Damsad.

After this failure, The Council Of Death felt the rot of corruption began spreading from timeline to timeline, they made a decision, they each harness their full ability in an item, an orb, that after a grave hunters swallowed, will give them their ability and a weapon, of holy faith, they will find any creature that each represent their virtue and gave them the responsibility and the power to prevent the corruption from spreading, this act weaken them that they will never be able to manifest outside of the sixth realm, it will render them vulnerable, but they gave all they have for humanity, for life, for death, in the end, that is how the Grave Hunters was born, the generations of them, the old one passing the knowledge, and power to the younger generation, working from the dark, giving all they have for the future.

🔱 ABILITY OF A GRAVE HUNTER 🔱

The Grave Hunters, unlike the executioners, is not immortal.

They stand for the guardians of death cycle, they return the death to the places where they belonged, the cycle of afterlife, every judgment you believe in.
Therefore, they are terrifyingly, mortal. That was what most impressive about them, they are all just mortal given god's power and responsibility.

But, they are not just a mortal.

They're chosen by the council themselves, passing through quality and test of heart and will, through wisdom and selflessness, every quality they have give them the right to be here. They are by all meaning, the chosen ones.
They are trained, once they accepted the offer, once they are proven true to their heart, they will be trained, by their guide council, based on their virtue, and then trained by their mentor which they will become the successor of.
Every process of becoming a grave hunter is a process of growing, becoming better than before, to believe in yourself and the other enough to protect them.

Each Grave Hunters are given their own holy weapon of their beliefs, with each virtue, each fighting style, the orb they swallowed will bind them to the responsibility.
As they grew older for their species, they will be given a guide from their virtue council of possible successor for them, they will observe and test the successor, if they had made the decision of whether their successor deserves the responsibility or no, they will have to train their succor for 5 years before handing their orb, pulling it from their chest, a painful process that meant to remind them the final let-go of the responsibility, rendering them back to a mortal being, retired away from the council, their memories will be wiped off, their successor will consume the orb and their mentor's weapon will be reshaped to the most suitable form for them decided by the orb itself, and the connection to the council of death will continue.

🍂 How do the grave hunter operate? 🍂

Grave Hunters by all means is a serious job. They are in risk, fighting immortal and dangerous executioners, fighting against rogue recalled that feats on humans, they are putting their life on line each time they are working.

The grave Hunters are not forbidden to have a double life, to still be in their old life, have a job, get married, but they are not allowed to reveal their work and their position or anything about the One Clock Company, the councils, the grave Hunters, cause their relationship outside of the hunters is considered a civilian, and their task is too dangerous to be revealed.

However, Relationship between two hunters are prohibited, physical or romantic. The council are not human, they did not understand feelings, they understand work, efficiency, they expected the hunters to be professional. it is strictly forbidden and doing so will be resulted in severe punishment.

FAQ & HUNTER OPERATIONS

❓ What are the main task of a Grave Hunters ❓

Track down hints of the recalled, the executioner, and one clock company base of operation for each executioner, they are assigned to approximately 10 timelines each, to counter each executioners. They are able to phase through timelines using their base ability given by the council, timeline shift, though theirs are different from the executioner cause they're granted the permission legally from the administrator of each timeline, unlike the executioners that just ripped a hole in timeline to shift that will eventually cause problem for time bureaucracy. They are also responsible for releasing a recalled soul, they have the training and the weapon and cure to set their soul back to the afterlife cycle properly.

They are also able to null down a contract from a renter, freeing them from the chase of an executioner and help to put them under Grave Hunter's custody, they're also entitled to be given memory wipe about everything they know from the company and the council.

They have to also maintain their web of information, unlike the executioners who have their own HQ and one clock company website, the grave hunters gathered their information from ghost, litteraly, the wandering spirit that needed purpose and redemption will be hired by the grave hunters to gather information, they run an operation to watch the line of death, notifying the grave hunters in control if there is any inconsistency or anomaly which indicates executioner or recalled, on exchange, they're given chance for redemption that will lessen their burden in the afterlife for their good deeds of fixing the death cycle.

❓ How do each council speaks to their hunters if they're confined in the sixth dimension and is unable to form a solid body or presence ❓

Each hunters have their own patron, and they usually speaks to the hunters through their weapon, when holding their weapon who was made with essence of their patron, a hunter could enter a state of disconnection from the second realm (the realm every living being is in, regardless of timeline) and entered the sixth realm temporarily, this is important for various thing, such as guidance of what a hunter should do whenever they felt lost and also for evaluation.

Though the amount of time a hunter could disconnect is very small due to high energy percentage it took from both side (hunter & patron), instead, for casual things, the hunter's thought and feeling is connected to their patron, so they could feel what their patron is guiding them to do without having to speak a word, but the hunters is also in control of the connection, they can cut off the connection temporarily for everyday life and private reason without having to connect with their patron in mind.

The sixth dimension is a dimensions of celestials old beings, like where all The Council Of Death, Damsad, The old gods, the great corruption, and other beings, they are vast and infinite space. There is currently 7 dimensions known.

1. First dimension: The realm of creation where the mother of idea is located, she is an entity that mothered all being to ever existed, she is benevolent and watchful, her true form is incomprehensible. She is responsible of creating everything but she is not a god, she is the creation itself.

2. Second Dimension: The realm of the living, countless timelines branch, every species regardless of timeline existed in the second dimension.

3. Third Dimension: The realm of death, where the death wandered very identical space for the living, they could see the living, it is the realm of ghost, this realm is heavily protected under laws of dimension control, restless soul and soul waiting for afterlife is waiting here

4. Fourth dimension: The realm of judgment, where the soul will be judged, there are various breach of this dimensions, various believe of judgment place based on what each soul believes in on their life, this dimensions is also the HQ to the ultimate dimension management center (UDMC), their task is to protect balance of all dimension, they're working together with the grave hunters & the council and is in mutual hostility with One Clock Company due to the company chaotic nature. This dimensions is also the home dimension of the soul-kin.

5. Fifth dimension: The realm of afterlife, after the judgment realm, a soul will pass to the afterlife they believed in, this is the eternal life, little information is known about this realm because it is heavily prohibited to enter here and ruin the very thin dynamic, the most protected dimension, heavily guarded. They contain countless heaven, hell,and other kind of after all each creatures believe in.

6. Sixth dimension: The realm of the celestials, they are beings that are not alive and not dead, they are concept given task, One of them, Damsad, is the great corruption, and the other here is basically the administrator and law maker for the other dimensions.

7. Seventh dimension: The realm of the true soul. This is an unknown realm, for every other being, the realm of the unknown is a place where it's closer to be a myth than a place, a place where beings with true authority decided the fate of their world, written in the old scroll, this is the realm of the reader, you, me, real human.

❓ Is the grave hunters all humans? ❓

No. The councils didn't choose based on race or what you are, they choose you based on your quality, if you're chosen, no matter if you're a squirrel or a human or an orc, you will be given a chance.

❓ What will happen if a grave hunter was killed, where would there orbs go? also, after they retire, will they forget everything ❓

When a grave hunter died, their body would automatically do a failsafe route to prevent being revived by the company or any other fraction, the body will be crystalized slowly from the skin and unable to be broken out of the crystal cocoon or moved from it's area, it will slowly plants a root where it was laying down in, the orb will leave the body in energy form, flying back to the patron who will regain every memory of the previous hunter that died and located the body, only other hunters could crack open the crystal and properly take care of the body, the orb will then took a while to be formed again, about 5 human year before it can find new hunter to be it's fighter.

And about if they retire, not all memories will be erased, actually the policy allowed you to keep your memory, but most of retired hunters chooses to erase everything related to their work there, but it's strictly limited to that, not touching any other memory area except anything related to One Clock Company, Renter, Recalled, Grave Hunter, The councils, or anything else, and since they could only give their orb to their successor after they finished training their successor, they are not responsible for anything else since the successor already have all the information needed from their mentor's training.

❓ What do you mean a grave hunter's weapon shifted to their most suitable form when a grave hunter first inherited them ❓

The weapons will be one with the hunters soul, flesh, and bone, same as the orb. They each suits the user personality, style preference, and others. You cannot request what form or weapon it would take, it will shape itself based on you, and it is alive, it's like a pet and could transform to an animal companion shape, mythology animal, normal animal, but the stronger the bond is with the hunter , they could evolve to a humanoid body, they are intelligent being and have their own realm which is the fourth realm, etc. They have their own personality and their own ability each.

Weapons have 3 main form.
1 (the weapon form, low sync, weapon depends on the hunter entirely).
2 (the small animal form, weapon shifted to a small miniature version of animal they are, capable of helping in fight with various skills, mid sync).
3 (humanoid form, weapon took form that's humanoid and fight alongside the hunter as a fighting partner, developed skill from their animal to a higher level, high sync).

❓ How to become a grave hunter ❓

You will be chosen, you cannot volunteer yourself, matter of fact, you would not even know about the existence of grave hunter until you're given a chance and taken in to be trained by any of the previous hunters. Training and mentor is very important, before you took the orb, you're still powerless, you are trained for the basic, fighting, speed, pushing yourself to the maximum possible state of your body, pushing your mind along the way, until you're ready.

❓ How do a hunter helped a recalled back to the afterlife and nulled the contract with the company ❓

The Hunters training involved various things, such as the ritual needed to severe the connection of a body and borrowed time, each hunters have their own flair in the ritual but the base is that they put you in a blood circle, mix of yours and your renter, then they will pour specified holy water on the circle and your soul will be slowly pulled back from the borrowed body, and the renter's connection to you will be severed too.

❓ How many patrons is there in the celestials realm? if there's council of death, does that mean there is council of life ❓

There are 6 death council, even though they are named death, their task is most noble and they are the most sane out of all beings in the sixth realm. The opposite of them is the life council, they are suspected to be involved with One Clock Company, they do everything to made more life, even reanimate the dead one, they are all beautiful looking like angles but they are the most unstable councils, the death council all looks terrifying to the mortals in other side.

There are also various minor celestial beings that each have their one spaces, the celestials realm is divided into two sides, one supporting the death council and the other half supporting the life council.

❓ What would the council do with your dead body, and how will they Inform your loved one? ❓

As soon as you're dead, your orb will be departed from your body, carrying your memory and everything else to the six realm where your patron will be notified, they will sent another hunter to track down your crystal cocoon and retrieve your body, preserves in state of your death, could be gory, disturbing, anything, but it's preserved. As soon as they rescued your body, they will be taking it to your home timeline and spoke with their connection in the government, Grave Hunters have vast relations and connections from centuries of building everything and passing it down, they will assign a believable death cause, sent the news to your loved one, and deal with the funeral, memorial,etc.

You will be rested peacefully as a person instead of a property and thanked for your service. Then your responsibility will be passed down to the successor.

Your knowledge will be passed down through the orbs because you died before you could fully transfer the knowledge by yourself to your successor, this method will be more rough and hard for your successor without their mentor.

This is a harsh thing, but this is necessary for the future generations, the chance of death in this field are relatively are very visible but not enough to worry about, that is why the training and mentor part is very important.
