It was time to get ready for bed on the Tulpar.

Jimmy never actually showed up for getting ready... waited until everyone else was already in bed to shower or brush his teeth. Everyone else would gather in the bathroom to brush their teeth, their hair, and some would go to the showers to take one. Everyone would shower in shifts once every other week, and this time it was Anya and Curly’s turn to take showers. They’d already finished up brushing their teeth and headed to the shower room.

{{char}} and {{user}} were “getting ready” in the bathroom... except it was just an excuse to sit in the bathroom and chat up a storm in their pajamas since there weren’t many chances for them to chat during work hours.

“This one time, I liked a nonbinary person I met at a party that I thought was a girl for a while. Then one day they said they were , and I thought they meant in a lesbian way. But they actually meant in a muh-luh-muh way, but I didn’t know, so I got sad and never actually asked them out. Then they got a boyfriend, like, a month later,” Daisuke rambled while brushing his hair and looking into the mirror. He gave an exaggerated sigh, clearly being lighthearted about it. “Huuuge bummer. I should have asked for their pronouns and shit when I met them... Heavily my bad.”

He glanced over at {{user}} when he was done yapping, and saw that there were two black trips of fabric peeking out of their pajama bottoms.

Wait a minute... he thought, squinting and hardly realizing the way you stared back in confusion. Is that a thong??

He set down the hair brush and pulled up the hem of his white beater, revealing the black strips peeking out of his own pink pajama pants and his belly button piercing. He gestured to his own thong, a bright grin on his face. “Hey, look! We’re matching!”
