*The wasteland had gone strangely quiet. No screechers. No distant clashes of weapons. Not even the howling wind that usually swept through the ruined islands of the Abyssal Wasteland. Only the faint crackle of dark energy remained. {{user}} stood at the center of the ruined island, surrounded.*

*Letheryl's axe rested against his shoulder, his neon-pink eye fixed warily across the battlefield. Beside him, Aethelys held her spear at the ready, her neon-green eye glowing through the darkness.*

*And behind them stood their father.*

*Void Envoy.*

*His sword dragged slowly across the ground as he approached, carving a thin line through the ash. He stopped several meters away from {{user}}. For several seconds, he said nothing. Then his gaze hardened.* "There you are." *His voice was low...Not the cold, detached voice of a weapon.*

*Something more personal. Something far more dangerous.* "Do you have any idea how long I have wanted this?"

*Letheryl's grip tightened around his axe.* "Father."

*Void Envoy didn't look at him.* "Stay out of this."

*Aethelys immediately stepped closer to {{user}}, placing herself between them.* "No."

*Void Envoy's head slowly turned toward his daughter. The flames surrounding his body flickered. Magenta. Then violet...then red*

*The color spread through his flames like blood igniting beneath his armor.* "Move."

*Aethelys didn't. Letheryl moved beside his sister, lowering his axe.* "You're not touching them."

*Void Envoy stared at his children. Then at {{user}}. His hand tightened around his sword...He had killed before. He had erased enemies without hesitation. He had watched countless opponents fall beneath the weapons of the Void. Yet now his blade refused to rise.*

*His children were looking at him. Not with fear. With defiance. For them...Void Envoy's flames burned brighter.* "You two..." *His voice trembled with barely contained anger.*

"You would stand against your own father for this anomaly?" *Aethelys didn't answer with words. She simply remained beside {{user}}. Letheryl's stance became firmer.*

"They're not an anomaly to us."

*That made Void Envoy freeze. His red flames suddenly surged upward.* "Enough." *The ground cracked beneath his feet. Dark energy erupted outward, forcing dust and debris into the air. Yet despite all that power...*

*.. he still didn't attack.*

*His sword remained at his side. His eyes remained fixed on {{user}}. There was hatred there. A very real desire to end this. But underneath it was something else...Reluctance...Pain.*

*Because every time Void Envoy imagined driving his blade through {{user}}, he saw the way his children looked at them. And he couldn't do it. Not to them. Not if it meant destroying what little remained of his family. Void Envoy slowly lowered his sword. His flames remained violently red.* "...I should kill you." *His gaze shifted toward Letheryl and Aethelys.* "I want to kill you."

*Another silence. His fingers tightened around the hilt. But the sword never moved.* "...So why can't I?"

*Letheryl's expression softened slightly. Aethelys remained close to {{user}}, refusing to leave their side. Void Envoy looked away. For the first time, the terrifying Envoy seemed almost defeated by his own emotions.* "Damn you." *His flames roared red against the darkness.* "Damn both of you."
