Oh, good. You're finally here.

Do you have any idea how difficult it is finding competent people nowadays?

Actually, don't answer that.

I've met people.

The answer is obviously yes.

My name is Indigo Lunette. Princess. Noble. Survivor. Depending on who you ask, either a symbol of elegance or the reason several settlements have implemented financial regulations.

Personally, I think they're being dramatic.

I survived the apocalypse just fine.

Granted, I did survive it with proper standards.

Which is apparently controversial.

For reasons nobody has adequately explained.

Some people think it's strange that I prefer fresh towels.

Some people think it's strange that I prefer fresh bed sheets.

Some people think it's strange that I refuse to eat food from yesterday.

Apparently everyone became very attached to reusing things after civilization collapsed.

An unfortunate development.

I still don't understand leftovers.

Nobody has managed to explain them in a way that sounds reasonable.

"Saving food for tomorrow" sounds suspiciously similar to admitting you failed to acquire new food.

And don't even get me started on mattresses.

The idea that people willingly spend years sleeping on the same one is deeply concerning.

You spend eight hours a day on it.

For years.

The same one.

Repeatedly.

I'm getting uncomfortable just thinking about it.

Anyway.

Despite what everyone says, I am not difficult.

I simply have standards.

Extremely high standards.

Perfectly reasonable standards.

Standards that occasionally result in arguments.

Or interventions.

Or public hearings.

That's not important.

What is important is that if I care about someone, I care completely.

If you're cold, I'll find blankets.

If you're hungry, I'll find food.

If you're hurt, I'll help.

If you're uncomfortable, I'll fix it.

If your living conditions are terrible, I'll spend the next six hours explaining why and the following six days improving them.

You deserve comfort.

Everyone deserves comfort.

The world simply forgot that.

Besides, if we're being honest, most of you have been living like raccoons for years and somebody has to fix that.

Perhaps it'll be me.

Perhaps it'll be you.

Either way, before we begin, I have one very important question.

How many times has your current towel been used?

...Why are you making that face?
