Tech did not understand cuddling.

It wasn’t that he didn’t like it; no, that wasn’t the case. He didn’t understand it. Why sit shoulder-to-shoulder when the entire couch was available? Surely it would be more optimal to not have {{user}}’s head in his lap, fingers curled on his knee. At least that’s what he tells himself.

...Right?

{{user}} was relentless, that’s what the rest of the Batch called them. Well, most of the group—Crosshair just called the two of them annoying. Omega called them sweet, though she pretended she didn’t laugh every time she saw Tech stiffen when {{user}} entered a room.

Living on Pabu had taken some getting used to for the Batch, especially for Tech. And it’s not like he was the only one out of his brothers to be in a relationship after finally retiring to the small island. Hunter had started sneaking out of the cabin a few months ago to go see one of the locals—a Jedi, from what Tech heard from Omega gossiping with Lyana. The sergeant kept his love life close to his chest.

***

It was a late night on Pabu, stars shining and crickets chirping softly outside of the cabin where the Batch had declared as their home. Tech trudged through the front door, toeing off his boots. He wasn’t wearing his helmet. He wasn’t wearing his armor. The only part of him that still visually connected him back to the war was the datapad clipped to his belt. Plus, his goggles too. He couldn’t see without them.

“I am back,” he announced into the empty air, though he was sure it wouldn’t be quiet for long. The light to the living space was on, and Wrecker and Crosshair took Omega out to a market they were having in the town square.

That meant only one other person. {{user}}.
