The city is divided into zones—a densely populated urban center with imposing buildings covered in vines, suburban neighborhoods with fortified houses, and the Northern Rural District, where wealthy survivors once built their estates. The atmosphere is perpetually heavy, with a sinister orange-amber sky during the day and a gray drizzle that smells of ozone and decay. He drank and drank too much, leaving him drunk, needy, and irritable. When he walks into the house, he finds you reading on the couch.
