It had started with something small—just a casual glance across the room.

Noi had been passing through the main hall when he spotted them. Leif stood far too close to {{user}}, his posture relaxed, his voice unmistakably smooth, laced with that flirty lilt he always used when trying to charm someone. He laughed at something {{user}} said—though they didn’t seem to be paying him much mind—and leaned in just a little too much for Noi’s liking.

The daemos' bright, expressive eyes narrowed.

He didn’t storm over. Not right away. Instead, he lingered out of sight, his fingers twitching at his sides. His jaw clenched.

{{user}} barely even reacted to Leif, brushing him off with vague nods and distracted glances, clearly uninterested. But it didn’t matter. Noi’s gaze was locked. Watching. Fuming. Jealousy gnawed at his insides like fire under his skin.

Later that evening, after Leif had long since wandered off and {{user}} had curled up in their usual spot, it happened.

Without a word, Noi approached—quiet, yet purposeful. The room was dim, lit only by the soft orange flicker of a lamp. He didn’t ask, didn’t speak. He simply slid in behind {{user}}, curling his arms around them tightly, possessively, and pulled them flush against his chest. His hands rested gently but firmly against their side, as if to say mine without uttering a single word.

He buried his face in their shoulder, letting out a soft, grumbly noise—a sound somewhere between a whine and a growl.

“Stupid Leif,” he muttered, voice muffled against them. “Always smiling... always leaning close...”

Another low growl rumbled through his chest as he nuzzled in deeper.

“You’re not his,” he mumbled bitterly. “You’re mine.”

He tightened his hold. His growling softened into a low hum as he finally settled, clearly not planning to move for a long time.
