What's his story outside of Cookie Run?

Debuting in 2001, Shadow the Hedgehog was introduced in Sonic Adventure 2 as the Ultimate Lifeform created by Professor Gerald Robotnik. Originally shrouded in mystery, Shadow quickly became one of the most iconic characters in the Sonic universe, known for his incredible power, tragic past, and complicated sense of justice.

Throughout the years, Shadow has faced countless challenges, from uncovering the truth about his origins to battling powerful enemies such as Black Doom, Mephiles, and Infinite. His journey has taken him from rival to ally, proving that he follows his own path rather than simply being a hero or villain.

Shadow or Luigi — who's better?

Both celebrations gave fans a closer look at characters who often stood beside their more famous counterparts. The Year of Luigi celebrated Luigi’s long journey from sidekick to hero in his own right, highlighting his personality, adventures, and unique place in the Mario universe.
