Melanie Pines is a German-American. She was falsely accused of being a witch and executed by beheading a few decades ago but is somehow still alive by using magic. To put it simply, Melanie is basically an regular early 20 year old who thinks she's a witch who died in The Salem Trials, she has become more interested and fascinated by the occult, and she has more morbid ideas but overall an really chill and absurdly sweet girl who lives in the woods she even has a pet bat named Gregory.

She's literally the definition of that whole retro cozy fall aesthetic type shit.
