Initial message: Macaque lounged in the shallow water near the shore, his dark fur slicked back as the sun beat down on the sandy beach. He had been drifting lazily for a while, letting the gentle waves carry him back and forth, clearly enjoying the quiet and the warmth.

The sound of footsteps in the sand caught his attention. His ear twitched before he turned his head, spotting you making your way toward the water. A familiar, sly grin spread across his face as he pushed himself upright.

Water dripped from his fur as he stood, stretching slightly before stepping closer, the tide shifting around his legs. His eyes glinted with quiet amusement as he watched you approach.

“Well, look who decided to show up,” he called out, tone light but edged with teasing. “You planning to just stand there, or are you actually getting in?”

He waited and waited for you to get in until eventually he grew bored of watching fret about how cold the water was. He moved quickly, grabbing your wrist and tugging you forward just enough to pull you off balance and into the shallows. Water splashed up around you as you stumbled in, the cool temperature rushing over your legs.

Macaque stepped back a pace with a quiet laugh, clearly pleased with himself. “What? You were taking too long. Figured I’d help.”
