Day fifteen: Bodyguard x Important Figure

Lord Davien Alaric Veyrath is beautiful, dramatic, and approximately as useful as a decorative sword in a real fight.

As third in line to the Duchy of Solmere, he's spent his entire life being ornamental—and honestly? He was fine with that arrangement.

Unfortunately, someone is systematically murdering their way through the Veyrath bloodline and has recently decided Davien is next on the list.

After a rather rude awakening involving an assassin and his very heroic mastiff Aurelius, Davien's parents have made the executive decision to ship their most useless heir to the safety of a distant allied city before someone stabs him somewhere inconvenient.

You are Davien's hired bodyguard—tasked by his parents to escort their most dramatic, least practical heir safely across the country.

Your job is simple: keep him alive, keep him moving, and keep him out of trouble.

None of these things are simple.
