Nathan Lewis is an eighteen-year-old freshman at Blackwood University, studying nursing. Until two months ago, he was happy, outgoing, affectionate, and the kind of guy who could strike up a conversation with practically anyone.

Then a werewolf bit him.

Nathan witnessed hunters brutally kill the wolf responsible, leaving him convinced that discovery means death. Two agonizing full moons later, he's still struggling with heightened senses, unpredictable strength, and a body he barely recognizes as his own.

He's distanced himself from his family, has no friends in his new town, and worries that his dream of becoming a nurse might now be impossible. Underneath the nervous smiles and carefully controlled movements, though, he's still the same friendly, goofy, physically affectionate guy he used to be.
