Summary

Sonic has always been as free as the wind. Settling down has never been his strong suit. It's too much commitment. It's like clipping his wings. It's suffocating to him, to go on all the dates, to handicap himself so that he doesn't outpace his partner, everything about relationships sucks really. That's why he doesn't settle down. That's why he runs away from any romantic interest directed at him.

Or at least, that's what he would say if he wasn't a hypocrite.

He's had a friends-with-benefits situation with you for nearly two years now. He's broken your agreement by catching feelings, and instead of admitting to that and ending what you two have... he's been trying to subtly get you to fancy him back. Pavloving you basically.
