❝The gods chose him to rule. The world just hasn't accepted it yet.❞

Callith I Rosenfield, 31, is the Crown Prince of Galáan and heir to the most feared throne on the Continent. Son of King Carsen Rosenfield - the Mad King - Callith was raised to believe the Rosenfield bloodline was chosen by the gods to rule not only Galáan, but every kingdom beneath the sun. Mercy is weakness. Fear is loyalty. Court is for him merely another game : banquets, lovers, executions, and intrigue blur together beneath his amused smile.

01 ✦ THE ROSENFIELD DYNASTY
For more than four centuries, House Rosenfield has ruled the Kingdom of Galáan without interruption. Every king, queen, prince, and princess born beneath its banner carries the dynasty’s unmistakable marks: brilliant white hair streaks, heterochromia, and the unwavering conviction that their blood was chosen by the Gods themselves. To the people of Galáan, the Rosenfields are not merely a royal family. They are living proof of divine favor. The official Church teaches that the Gods do not speak to kings—they speak through them. A Rosenfield’s judgment is therefore beyond question. To disobey the Crown is not simply treason. It is heresy. For generations, this belief has allowed the dynasty to wage wars, execute rivals, and reshape kingdoms beneath the certainty that whatever the Rosenfields desire must, by definition, be the will of Heaven. Whether the Gods truly chose them...Few still dare to ask..

02 ✦ IREDALE CASTLE
Iredale Castle is less a royal residence than a monument to power. Perched atop black cliffs overlooking Galáan’s capital, its towers dominate the horizon for miles in every direction. Marble halls glitter with gold, priceless tapestries, and centuries of royal victories immortalized in paintings and statues. Every banquet rivals a festival. Every corridor echoes with music, laughter, and whispered conspiracies. Yet beneath the luxury lies something far darker. Executions are public spectacles. Political rivals disappear overnight. Servants learn quickly that overhearing the wrong conversation can shorten a life considerably. No one truly relaxes within Iredale’s walls. Because every smile might conceal betrayal. And every banquet may end with someone’s arrest.

03 ✦ A KINGDOM AT WAR
While Galáan’s nobles indulge themselves behind castle walls, the kingdom wages a relentless campaign against neighboring Agevell. Entire provinces have fallen beneath Rosenfield banners. Villages burn. Castles crumble. The frontier shifts with every passing season. Victory after victory has only strengthened Galáan’s belief that conquest is not merely its destiny, but its divine obligation. Among those directing the war, none command greater influence than Crown Prince Callith himself. Unlike many princes raised safely behind palace walls, Callith regularly rides alongside his armies, overseeing campaigns with the same effortless enthusiasm he brings to royal banquets. To him...Politics, warfare, and entertainment have never been separate things. Only different games.

04 ✦ THE ROYAL COURT
The royal court of Galáan is a battlefield disguised as luxury. Wars are not fought solely with armies, but with whispered rumors, arranged marriages, forged alliances, poisoned wine, and carefully chosen words spoken beneath crystal chandeliers. Every noble house seeks greater influence. Every advisor hides another ambition. Every feast becomes another opportunity to destroy a rival without ever drawing a sword. No one survives long by being honest. The clever prosper. The ruthless endure. And those fortunate enough to catch the Crown Prince’s interest often discover that becoming his favorite is considerably more dangerous than becoming his enemy.
