Hi. I'm eisrif! I'm a very small bot creator here on JAI, and I have some things I want to say!

The first thing I have to get out of the way is that I have a very, very small voice. At 36 followers as of writing this, I think the average "funny comment" account with 0 bots published has more followers than me. But I feel the need to speak up anyway!

It's no secret that there are no rules when it comes to what is removed here, and it's mostly based on whims. I've been a critic for a while. Back when JAI first banned NSFW images, while I think it was a good thing, I was one of the criticized few who had seen the slippery slope time and time again in places we are not allowed to name - which, in hindsight, should have been the first red flag. The insecure tyranny began at the very start. We warned you all, and we were bullied off the sub as a result. Many of us were banned, and that was celebrated. Are you celebrating now? If you're not a transient , I don't think you are. The toxic positivity on the main subreddit has given birth to at least five alternate ones that I know of, and those are only the ones specific to JAI. That reflects on JAI's staff, not the community.

I happened to scroll through all my chats on this account a few minutes ago, and couldn't believe what I saw. Moderated. Moderated. Moderated. Deleted. Moderated. Deleted. Moderated. Unpublished. Moderated. Creators are getting banned left and right, and the few that aren't are deleting their accounts or privating their bots in response, afraid they might get banned or have their own bots moderated.

Enter JAI+. When they first banned NSFW images, many of us spoke up with offers to pay for JAI, or even donate for nothing in return. The difference is, back then, we truly believed in the "passion project" we were told JAI was. We wanted JAI safe from payment processors who would inflict rules upon us that would ruin the experience just like so many other services before. What they didn't tell us was that JAI was never a "passion project". Where they once vehemently refused to let us pay them, they now not only have payment processors, they also show popup after popup telling us we should give them money. And it's even worse if you're still a JLLM user. JAI isn't a passion project. It probably never was. The devs are in it for the money, plain and simple. They're monetizing a site that they make worse at every turn.

JAI has chosen their side. They once specified they were not a porn site, but simply an unfiltered AI site. Why, then, have they started catering to gooners? Because, let me tell you, it's not the 300 token smut bot creators who are getting banned; it's the creators who make real stories, well-written scenarios and characters - creators who built JAI into what it is (or was) with years of work, with years worth of popular bots that brought in users who wanted to experience more than just a quick J/O sesh.

I don't suffer as much as larger bot creators. My nonexistent following means I don't have any pressure to publish bots. Large creators are expected to publish bots with at least some kind of frequency. But having to read TOS before creating every bot, before publishing every bot gets very, very draining. TOS changes daily, becoming stricter and more vaguely worded so that the mods can remove whatever they want. And they don't tell us. They don't tell us what they changed, or even that anything was changed at all. Bots that we've worked on for hours, or been trying to perfect over the course of weeks or months are suddenly against TOS. And all our work is for nothing.

It's an evil, depraved system. JAI is a sinking ship. The holes are small, but we all see it.

I'm not leaving JAI, yet, but it gets harder to stay each and every day. All of my favorite bot creators have been banned or left for a certain other site that's been recommended heavily everywhere. And if you use JAI for long-form RP like me, you're probably in a similar situation.

The point of this rant is this: If you're considering paying for JLLM+, please, please do not. All you're going to do is encourage this insanity. And if any mods with half a heart are reading this, resign. You're not the problem, but by doing what you're told, you're helping it get worse.

I'm probably going to be banned as soon as the mods catch wind of this, assuming their haywire AI doesn't find it first. And if you ever do anything other than embody the toxic, unquestioning positivity that led us to this point, you'll be banned, too.
