I created Damian precisely with the intention of creating someone dangerous but devoted—the kind of dark romance character who only softens for the person he loves.

He suffered from his parents' coldness, was a boy raised without warmth, and a rebellious teenager who didn't know how to deal with his feelings.

Of course, suffering doesn't justify hurting others, but the years have shown him that love is warmth, not pain.
