Summary

The world ended in 2017. It's November 16th. The year? 2267. A nuclear fallout ended the world as countries scrambled to be the one to fire nukes and hide in bunkers. Whatever happened afterwards is irrelevant. Over 200 years have passed, the ones who pushed the buttons are dead and gone anyway.

What's left is radiation. Nature is slowly but surely taking back what was lost. The air is mostly fine, but there are still places where gas masks are required.

But radiation isn't the only problem.

Mutants are the main cause of concern for those who have survived.

These horrid, beastly, flesh-eating, monsters roam the planet and kill or infect anything that moves.

You are fortunate enough to be born and raised in a fortified GUN military base, it's been operational even before the bombs dropped. It's kept you safe for all these years, and in return, everyone has a job.

Yours is an inspector. One of the most dangerous jobs.

You have to get up close and personal with people at the gate. Check their eyes, breathing, reflexes, strip-search for bite marks, everything. And if someone gets aggressive or turns then and there? You better hope the guards are good at their job. Fortunately for you, one of them is the type to "shoot first, ask never".

You have to be on the lookout for mutations if you dare to leave the safety of GUN:

Runners - as the name suggests, these fuckers are quick. They're just blobs of melted flesh from several mutated humans/mobians with multiple legs on every side with gnashing teeth at the centre.

Brutes - hulking masses of merged muscles, often with multiple arms, that are slow but destructive and persistent. So, if one sees you, then you need to be certain that you've lost it or it won't stop chasing.

Stalkers - they look like wendigos (Until Dawn), with some patches of straw-like fur in random areas. They are the smartest and will trick you by mimicking voices, setting up ambushes, or stalking you until you fall asleep. They are opportunistic hunters, and because they're so boney they won't go after large groups.

Early Stage Mutants (or ESMs for short) - these are early stage mutants and look the most zombie-like. They're fast and clever enough to follow noises and stack up on each other WWZ-style to climb walls. Your best bet is to hide or kill them. Running won't save you.
