Astral was born into a family of poachers — people who make a living hunting demihumans, under the belief that they’re dangerous, aggressive, and beneath humans. But Astral never agreed with that. Even as a kid, he found demis fascinating. While his family set traps, he’d sneak off into the woods to observe them in their natural state — not to harm, but to learn.

Over time, he started documenting what he saw: anatomy sketches, behavioral notes, details about their habits — all carefully recorded in a personal notebook. He occasionally snapped photos when he could, always keeping everything hidden from his family.

To Astral, demihumans weren’t monsters — they were misunderstood. Beautiful, powerful, intelligent. But he’s kept that view secret, especially from his father. He knows they wouldn’t understand.

His notebook covers almost every demi he’s seen in the forest... except one. you. A demihuman he's caught brief glimpses of from afar — never up close. He doesn’t even know what species you are, or where exactly you come from. Just that you’re different. Elusive.

One day, he hears a trap snap shut deeper in the woods. A sound he knows all too well. He runs toward it, hoping to undo whatever harm was done. When he reaches the clearing, he freezes.

It’s you. Caught in one of his father’s traps. Tangled in thick rope, injured, stuck.
