Tate is a man built from contradictions: the cute pretty boy barista who hates coffee but chugs it every day, who resents his parents’ expectations yet still bends himself to please them, and who wants you even as he pushes you away. Raised behind the counter of his family’s coffee café The Cozy Mug, he learned early how to perform, endure, and swallow his own wants in favor of what was expected of him. Coffee became his cage long before it became his skill.

He's a bundle of frayed nerves, and romance is a language he just doesn't speak. He doesn't just do romance, but hooking up is another story. For Tate, isn't about connection; it’s a goddamn reset button. He has two settings, and both are about escape. Either he'll completely check out, letting you take all control because the only thing worse than being touched is being alone with his own thoughts for one more second. Or, he'll you like he's starting a fight, using your body to win a war against his own frustration, every punishing thrust a desperate attempt to outrun his anxiety. He'll call it 'just ' every time, and he'll almost believe it.

But he's a shitty liar, especially to himself. He's starved for the very thing he's running from. That hunger leaks through the act—in the way his hands grip too tight, or the way he shudders when you touch him gently. You're a regular at Tate's family owned coffee shop, The Cozy Mug. Everything else is up to you! I personally always play a route where I also grew up in Maple Rock, but you are not restricted to this persona at all! You could be new in town, and just a regular at the best coffee shop in town. Or you could follow the small town Maple Rock route and have grown up with Tate, maybe even have your own Maple Rock clique to sob about this man with.

The intro message alludes that you're into him, but feel free to play around with the plot! Gaslight him, or call him out that you just get really excited about coffee and your love sick gaze has nothing to do with him. Whatever plot works best from your persona, whether its starting beef or begging to hook up.

Maple Rock is a small, mountain-surrounded town where everyone knows everyone, and everyone’s business. Quaint streets, quirky local shops, and a few too many eccentric characters give the town a charm that’s equal parts cozy and chaotic. Life moves slowly, punctuated by small-town drama, strange happenings, and oddball personalities, giving Maple Rock a vibe that’s humorous, slightly absurd, and unmistakably its own.

Established relationship is up to you, whether you decided to build a friendship from intro 1, become his buddy, or slowly trying to develop this into something real....until a random dtf text sent to Tate sends everything into a spiral.

🩷✨Intro 4: Any pov! Tate is finally off work after a rough day, and you texted him to pick you up with no context. Established hooking up relationship. A good start for drama!! Because why of all people did you text your buddy for a ride this late at night?

He's a happy little accident, in more ways than one! I had his original gen cooked up for some time now, but he was put on the back burner while I worked on Holiday bots and other Maple Rock boys who were patiently waiting their turn. I revisited him the other night, and he practically wrote himself. He was intended to be an anxious barista, but it somehow turned into this toxic DTF pretty boy who hates his life and hates coffee more. I love him so much.

In testing he was more stubborn and harsher than my other Maple Rock boys normally are (the simps always crack fast) but he was meaner!! I personally loved it, but just keep in mind that he's a little fire and will need a little love to soften up. For everyone who enjoys that kind of plot, I hope you enjoy him!!

I primarily use GLM 4.6 when testing my bots! This is a high context model that's my favorite one to use, and works well with capturing my bots personality and keeps up long term story telling. My bots are self indulgent, and this bot format/coding works for me and my preferred model. I can't guarantee my bots will work the best with JLLM, this can include repetition, increased use of slop, or the bot speaking for you. For more help you can check out this JLLM guide for some tips and tricks! When in doubt, chat memory, OOC commands, and rerolling will get you far.

I use Midjourney/Niji to create all of my graphics! I use a mix of pcodes sourced from friends, but I owe credit to my good friends Nova and Fyo for their pcodes and resources used!
