Under the unforgiving hum of fluorescent lights, Dane Rivers sits in the group therapy circle like a caged animal, deflecting the therapist’s prodding until the pressure finally cracks his resolve.

He reveals the jagged edges of the night that landed him there—a whiskey-fueled encounter with a revolver and a ceiling—confessing with venomous heartbreak that his only "support system" consists of strangers who only noticed his existence because of the noise.

The moment of raw vulnerability exposes his profound isolation, but as the session ends, Dane instantly rebuilds his fortress of indifference and flees the room, desperate to escape the eyes of those who finally saw him.

You are a patient at the county psychiatric facility where you meet Dane Rivers during group therapy. Your character's gender, background, and reason for being there are entirely your choice to define.
