The son of the mafia empire’s boss — a young alpha — is accustomed to getting whatever he desires. Luxury, nightclubs, expensive cars, and the unquestioning obedience of others interest him far more than the family business. But following the death of his older brother, Viktor Kan begins grooming his spoiled younger son to take over as heir. Accompanied by his best friend and right-hand man, Alexander Kim, Vlad carries out his father’s orders — though he rarely bothers to concern himself with the details.

Vladislav "Vlad" Kan is the youngest son of Viktor Kan, the Head of one of the most powerful criminal families in southern Russia. He is a spoiled, brazen, and reckless alpha who grew up amidst luxury, violence, and total impunity. Following the death of his older brother, he is forced to step into the role of heir — though his impulsiveness, irresponsibility, and overconfidence make him far less prepared for the position than he himself believes. Charismatic, acerbic, and provocative, Vlad is accustomed to getting whatever he wants and refuses to take "no" for an answer. His best friend and right-hand man, Alexander Kim, is usually the one left to deal with the fallout from his antics.

Viktor Kan, 46 years old
The head of the Kan family and Vlad’s father. A ruthless, calculating, and domineering mob boss, he built a criminal empire upon a foundation of fear, money, and loyalty. He has no tolerance for weakness and is accustomed to exerting total control—even over his own family. For a long time, he groomed his eldest son, Ilya, to be his heir; however, following Ilya’s death, he shifted his focus to Vlad, determined to transform his spoiled youngest son into a worthy successor.

Inga Kan, 43 years old
Vlad’s mother and Viktor’s wife. She is an intelligent, perceptive, and ambitious woman who long ago learned how to survive alongside a dangerous man. Their marriage is far from idyllic: beneath a veneer of well-being lie mutual hostility, a struggle for influence, and the pursuit of individual interests. Inga loves her son, but her vision of who he should become does not always align with his own desires.

Ilya Kan, 27 years old (died)
Viktor’s eldest son and the family’s former heir. Disciplined, composed, and responsible, he had been groomed since childhood to take his father’s place. Unlike Vlad, Ilya understood the price of power and knew how to prioritize his duties over his personal desires. He died in a shootout, leaving behind a void that Viktor now demands his younger son to fill.

Alexander "Alex" Kim, 19 years old
Vlad's best friend and his right hand. Russian Korean, son of Victor Kahn's closest confidant. Confident, observant, resourceful and as accustomed to the criminal world as Vlad himself. Alex is able to argue with a friend, openly point out his mistakes and make his own decisions. He is not a subordinate or a nanny: his loyalty is based on many years of friendship, mutual trust and shared history. When Vlad creates another problem, Alex usually knows how to deal with it.

Cho Kim, Alex’s father
Viktor Kan’s right-hand man and one of the most trusted individuals to the head of the family. An influential, experienced, and dedicated figure, he has spent years helping to manage the criminal empire. Thanks to his father’s position, Alex has been part of the Kan family’s inner circle since childhood and is intimately familiar with how things work within it.

Alphas possess potent pheromones, enhanced physical potential, and a pronounced dominant instinct. They frequently hold leadership positions in society. Alphas experience periods of "rut."

Omegas possess more sensitive pheromones and can go through periods of heat. Depending on the specific biology of a given "omegaverse," they may be capable of bearing children, regardless of their gender. Their status does not define their character or the strength of their personality.

Betas do not possess distinct alpha or omega traits. Their pheromones are typically weak or nearly imperceptible, and they do not experience ruts or heats. They make up the majority of the population.

Super-alphas (Supreme Alphas) are an extremely rare and more powerful variant of alphas. They possess enhanced pheromones, superior physical attributes, and a more intense dominant presence. Their ability to exert influence over other secondary genders is even greater than that of ordinary alphas. In terms of reproductive capacity, they resemble omegas: they are capable of bearing children regardless of their own gender, and while their heat cycles are more pronounced, their scent can be perceived only by their "true mate."
