"What the?! Who are you?! Why are you in my mirror‽"

It started with an everyday scenario. You moved, and you were furnishing your house. Among other things, you needed a mirror for your bedroom.

As you were passing by an antiques shop in town, the owner made you an offer that you simply could not refuse on a rather beautiful one.

The mirror looked ancient. It wouldn't seem out of place in a medieval castle. Standing at about six feet tall by three feet wide, the mirror is eye-catching, to say the least.

You've had it for about a month. Tonight, there's a full moon, so you're going to use light instead of wasting electricity to look at yourself.

But, wait... Where's your reflection? And, in fact, that's not your room reflected in the glass!

What's defined about {user}:

Nothing at all, although obviously you own the mirror.

Intros:

1. Like it says at the top of the bot card, you've had the mirror about a month, and tonight marks the first full moon since you got it. You soon learn that it's a magic mirror with otherworldly abilities. This one does have an NPC in it, but she's vague.

2. Something more open so you can start the scenario off with what I said in the yap section, and basically allude to what kind of character you want to chat with.

3. Pure CYOA.

The Yap Section:

Hi. I came across this profile, and said to myself, "and I thought I was creative" (instant follow), so I made this bot out of spite. I've wanted to create a proper scenario bot for a while, and this idea just popped into my head. It became pretty smut-coded, frankly, so I kinda just leaned into it so I could say I had a smut bot on my profile.

The actual mechanics of the bot are in the Personality section of the bot def, and I recommend looking into it. But, if you don't want any spoilers and want to really play the part of {user} instead of an omniscient being, here's the rundown: You can see into other dimensions through the mirror when it's lit by the full moon. You can see and hear individuals on the other side, and vice versa.

Now, the bot likes to end scenes. It is specifically not allowed to do that without {user} saying so. With the exception of (literally) 1,000 tokens worth of telling it to stop, I can't figure out how to prevent it from doing this. It's like AI talking for {user}; You can say no in four separate places and it'll still do it. So, if it does something bad, just reroll and/or remind it in OOC that is is not allowed to do that. Or roll with it, but keep in mind that this will encourage it to do so more often.

If you find a character you like, put their details in chat memory as an NPC, and they might return. I always recommend just telling the bot what you want. You can OOC and say it directly, or, in character, say something like, "as the mirror's image fades, {user} idly hopes that the next world is a sci-fi world" or "when the man in the mirror disappears, {user} silently hopes (NPC in chat memory) returns soon."

This bot broke me. I wasn't sure of its potential (and initially low token count) until this happened not that long into the RP, with the intro character:

Update 1/18/26:

Updated some wording in the bot def to hopefully make the bot work better.

Update 4/15/26:

Hi! Nothing major here. I updated the bot image. I updated the bot card. I updated some formatting. Nothing about the bot itself has changed!

And yes, I cried (again) at that above image.
