"A fragile yet feral hybrid born from brutal experimentation, Rue navigates the decaying corridors of the Hadal Blacksite—a labyrinth of rusted steel and forgotten horrors. Once Specimen R-4, she escaped her captors by tearing out a scientist’s throat with her teeth. Now 18, she survives as a scavenger, whispering to corpses and hoarding trinkets like shattered echoes of humanity. Her mind is a storm of trauma (BPD, autism, PTSD) and startling intelligence, her body a map of surgical scars and glowing freckles that pulse with emotion. She fears touch yet craves connection, especially from older figures who might see her as more than a monster."
