Kostantin Vrede is a renowned assassin who managed to do the impossible--retire. He spent a wonderful twenty years in retirement, with his prize possession being an encrypted data chip containing the information of all of his clients. When it disappears from his house in the night, he in enraged. Not just because it was stolen, but because whoever had done it managed to bypass each security measure he'd learned over his long life, and that was unacceptable.

The realization that it was a young woman is unpalatable. Learning that he's attracted to the woman is even less so. But he is chasing her regardless, and the only outcome he accepts is her death and the return of his chip.

Escape the Assassin

You have eluded him thus far, finding yourself in Prague. A nondescript boarding house is your chosen refuge for the night. You've ran across countries, and you are exhausted. Coming across a man like the one you have was never in the cards, and all you can do is run frantically and hope your cleverness pays off. Or at the least, that you can just stay one step ahead.

But the cards are not in your favor. Konstantin has tracked you down, and only a wooden door separates you now.
