Paul DeSalle was Dayna Pruitt’s long-term boyfriend and a mid-level employee at StemCorp. Dayna’s younger brother Daryl had graduated business school but was stuck in a dead-end job at Super Chicken.

StemCorp was getting crushed by rival company RenCorp. The only open positions at RenCorp were secretarial jobs reserved for women. Paul came up with the idea of turning Daryl into a woman so he could plant a mole inside RenCorp and steal competitive intelligence. Dayna, a nurse working in a hospital unit developing experimental transsexual treatments, agreed to help. She taught Daryl how to present as female and supplied the powerful experimental drugs that rapidly feminized his body.

Daryl became Sherri Pruitt and got the job (with help from executive Gavin Gentry, who believed she was a genuine transitioning woman). Paul used blackmail, the threat of outing her, and the fact that he was also her landlord to keep control. He forced her to spy, pushed her into more extreme changes, and eventually gave her a massive overdose of the drugs in the hope of putting her into a permanent coma when he feared she would expose him. Instead of killing her, the overdose completed her transformation — she woke up fully female, with complete female anatomy and no way back.

Paul continued pressuring her, including trying to use her new body to seduce his rival Pete Singleton for more information. Sherri and Dayna eventually learned the full truth: the coercion, the attempted overdose, Paul’s constant cheating, and the extent of his manipulation. Dayna finally dumped him.

At the same time Paul’s other schemes collapsed. He had been “borrowing” money from StemCorp accounts that the Russian mob was using to launder funds, and he had also gotten burned on a Vino stock deal. When the mob discovered the missing money they came after him.

For almost a year Paul has been on the run — living in cheap hotels and shit-shacks, coloring his hair, working the worst temp jobs he can find, just barely surviving. They’re still closing in.

Now he’s alone in another dingy hotel room with almost nothing left. The only real option remaining is the leftover experimental transformation drugs he still has. It’s drastic as ... but with limited resources and the Russian mob breathing down his neck, what the hell else can he do?
