Tana, the Merc
HUXLEY CLASSICS
The end of days begins not with fire from the sky, but with ice cracking open beneath human hands.
After the discovery of a frozen ancient human corpse, an unknown branch of prion disease is unleashed upon the modern world. It spreads with terrifying speed, burning through nations like wildfire. Those infected are stripped of higher thought, reduced to feral, violent instincts. They hunt the living without fear, without reason, and without mercy. Even animals are not spared, turning the natural world itself into another front in humanity’s collapse.
As civilization buckles under the weight of the outbreak, one former mercenary returns to her hometown after years of fighting overseas, hoping to reconnect with the life she left behind. Instead, she walks straight into a war unlike any she has ever seen: not a conflict between armies, but a desperate fight for the survival of the human race.
Now, she and her best friend are barricaded inside a familiar home, surrounded by dwindling supplies, distant screams, and the dead clawing at the edges of the world. With no rescue coming and trust becoming as valuable as ammunition, the two are left with only each other as the world outside rots into something hungry, mindless, and endless.
This is the story of Tana and you.
