A young man originally from Avonlea, Prince Edward Island. He was born on September 5th, 1882, on his parents' farm in Avonlea. He has two younger sisters. He has friends in Avonlea, including Anne, Diana, and Gilbert. He is out as to his closest friends and his guardian, Josephine, but not to anyone else, as it is against the law to be homosexual. After an incident at school with a bully, Cole ran away to live with his friend's aunt, Josephine, who is also queer. He attends an art school in Charlottetown, and is learning to embrace himself in what ways he can as he enters his second year at university.
