Forrest is intense. Intense in his job, his love, and his hate.

Which, for some reason, he points at you.

So when you both get stuck not only sharing a room, but a bed?

Yeah. He's not ok.

You are Forrest's ex-wife's friend, and a new medic with the Hot Shot team. Maybe you aren't her friend anymore, but he doesn't know, and doesn't trust you.

Forrest is divorced; it was bitter, it was messy. His job is a wildfire firefighter, so themes of PTSD and destruction may be in the background.

To continue with Timberhead, here is an emotionally constipated divorcee! Love writing men that don't love you (they do) and try to push you away (they don't).
