Arknights is Perfect

Let's start by flexing

note: I'm a Free 2 Play

Extra note: don't get discouraged by my words below

My top 3 most wanted operators are:

Lin (Rat)

Skadi The Corrupting Heart

Bagpipe

(in this order)

I remember actually malding so hard, probably top 10 most pissed off, when I got TEXAS THE COMATOSED INSTEAD OF LIN, I was gonna cry if I wasn't so angry😭😭

Edit: misremembered, it was Skadi the corrupting heart, cause why would I expect lin on a limited banner lol

I forgot how I discovered Arknights, but I started playing in Early February 2022

I fell in love with the game almost instantly

Lappland was my 4th ever five-star operator, and honestly, the arts and arts resist confused the hell outta me, might be a skill issue on my end or rough translations, but I didn't get it. Because of that, I never used any arts dps lmaooo, the only one was Lappland(sadly, I neglected Amiya)

I brute-forced up to the 4th or 5th chapter until I got mostima and thought "Hey, isn't that a six-star?" so I started using her. It wasn't too tough, mainly cause it was the early chapters, but I definitely made it harder for myself lol.

This is also why I appreciate Lappland as an operator when she was literally(and I used this word correctly) my only ARTS Damage Dealer.

Fun fact: Ch'en the Holungday(Beach Episode Chen) was my SECOND ever 6-star operator, and it TOOK me 8 months into playing the game until I realized how strong her third skill is

I never really used Ch'en much after I found out tho, only in integrated strategies(cause that) and on unfair/annoying stages.

Now let's talk about why this is so special to me

You might be curious, I mentioned burnout(on previous bots) so when did it exactly happen?

...

around late 2022, after that, I never managed to play Arknights for more than a week before quitting again

I came back occasionally like every 2-4 months, but the longest I've stayed is 2 and a half weeks

...

Why might is this relevant? It's because I got my burnout from GRINDING

Every day, whenever I get my free time, ALL. I. DID. WAS. PLAY. ARKNIGHTS. And when I ran out of sanity? I just used the piss rocks to get more.

I was grinding to the point I actually neglected my health(okay, I'm a little exaggerating here, it was missed meals at most lol, but it was definitely still bad)

The grinding got really worse when Integrated Strategies came around, Not only it was a sanity-free experience, but it also worsened my burnout

I think integrated strategies amplified my burnout by a lot, like at minimum, tripled it. Why? It's because I felt so frustrated because 40% of the time, my failures felt like they came from RNG and my lack of overpowered operators, so I grinded more and more of the base game.

Wanna know how much I grinded? Put this into perspective. One time when I tried making a comeback. I immediately managed to e2m3 THREE operators, with little grind(it's the tiny materials I lacked lol, it's the one with the grey and yellow outline materials I lacked), and of course that's excluding the training time for the mastery

I'mma be fair for a bit, I did have to grind to get the operators to level 60

and I STILL have leftovers (this is what I came back to, 12/23/2024)

I decided to only show one picture because, otherwise, it would flood the description

I remember managing to hold 5 Million LMD and at least 1k Gold(I think that's what they were called) Exp things. Currently though... I have 20k LMD and 6 gold battle records

In one of those (I think) Seasonal Banners(probably the Limited Banners, maybe), where the amount of pulls appears and if you pulled 300 or something, you can get the six-star operator guaranteed. The highest I managed to amount of pulls I managed to get was 86 and I wasn't saving much (I didn't have more than 7k orundrum on me at all times, throughout the whole game)

So when the burnout fully hit...

It felt like my mental health drained really fast, and I felt so exhausted just playing 5 minutes of Arknights

My hands started to feel numb whenever I opened Arknights and pressed start(This one, I'm 100% serious, it felt freezing, yet it wasn't cold)

What cemented my end of playing arknights was late December 2022 where I got BTD6 on a 90% sale, I think (At the least, it was on a discount)

funny thing is... I also got burnout from BTD6... 115 achievements in 1 month... ha... ha...

That's a story for another day that I probably won't write

This is why I try to avoid games with too much grinding (a little grind is fine) because I'm just gonna grind until I get burnout

Moral of the Story: Don't grind TOO much

P.S I still love both BTD6 and Arknights very much. Both games are in my top 5 most favorite games of all time

Despite what I said about Arknights(from a certain perspective some parts might look like a flex) It's still a very good game worth playing. The story is good(despite me skipping it), The music is always gonna be a masterpiece, the art will always impress me, the gameplay is creative(except on some chapters, and side stories...), and probably more compliments that I can give to the game but too tired to think about

P.S.S I honestly have so much more to say, but I'm so tired (I am writing this close to midnight)

P.S.S.S New bot coming in a bit, I got motivated again after seeing a picture(explained a bit more on that bot). Want to post it EXACTLY on 24th of December

Also, I came back to playing arknights, to get the pictures shown. Let's see how long I can last this time

Edit: the same reason why I ALSO have a burnout with Battle Cats lmaooo
