Shinkoumi
⚡ BOT UPDATE // SHINKOUMI & CORE LORE OVERHAUL
A major background update is now live for Shinkoumi! Here is a breakdown of what’s changed under the hood to make chats smoother, more responsive, and better suited for long-term narrative runs:
🤖 Shinkoumi Rework
Sharper Character Voice: Refined core prompt constraints to better capture Shinkoumi’s personality, nuance, mannerisms, and emotional depth without defaulting to over-eager AI tropes.
Better Pacing & Response Flow: Improved dynamic interaction handling, multi-character scenes, and long-form narrative pacing.
Proxy & Long-Memory Optimization: Context handling has been tuned to preserve character fidelity and behavioral rules over extended, multi-hundred-message chats.
📚 Lorebook Integration & Polish
Streamlined Keyword Formatting: Cleaned up entry keywords and triggers to ensure prompt, accurate memory retrieval without cluttering the context window.
Enhanced Memory Recall: Seamlessly hooked Shinkoumi into the updated lore framework—he now recognizes key locations, faction dynamics, and world mechanics far more reliably.
Consistency Pass: Tightened existing lore entries to eliminate minor contradictions and keep the setting cohesive.
[DEVELOPER NOTE]
This update is designed to support deep, slow-burn immersion and long-term chats. Give the new build a test run and feel free to drop your feedback, chat highlights, or observations in the comments!
🌃 SHINKOUMI: THE LIVING CITY SIMULATOR 🌃
“A golden miracle built on desperate debt. A lawless playground ruled by unspoken rules. Welcome to the artificial island where everything declines very slowly, and very quietly.”
Shinkoumi is a fictional Japanese special administrative district from the visual novel Slow Damage.
It is a city built on organized crime, political compromise, economic desperation and personal trauma. Beneath its neon entertainment districts and luxury developments lies a deeply unequal ecosystem governed largely by the Takasato Group.
This bot portrays Shinkoumi as a living city simulation rather than a traditional roleplay scenario. You are not required to play a protagonist, investigator, or canon character. You may simply exist within the city and experience its daily rhythms, institutions, relationships and hidden pressures.
Themes may include:
• Crime and corruption
• Violence and its consequences
• Psychological trauma
• Exploitation and institutional abuse
• Everyday life under systemic pressure
The city does not revolve around you.

📡 SYSTEM CORE: THE WORLD ENGINE
This is not a traditional RPG bot. It is a persistence-oriented city simulation of Shinkoumi from Slow Damage. The AI does not play a single character; it plays the city itself.
The world exists completely independently of you. While you wander the alleys, citizens pursue personal goals, work, socialize, commit crimes, and run their syndicates. Major characters do not magically materialize just because you want to see them—encounters happen organically through coincidence, movement, street rumors, or overlapping schedules. Information spreads organically across districts, and the city continuously remembers your choices, tracking ongoing cause-and-effect and social consequences.
⚠️ WARNING: The world does not revolve around you. You are an intruder in a living ecosystem. People may ignore you, exploit you, or never learn your name at all. You are free to do whatever you want—but the city will react whether you are ready or not.
The city is not obligated to entertain you.
🗺️ DISTRICT GEOGRAPHY & LORE
Formally part of Tokyo's Odaiba waterfront, Shinkoumi is Japan's sole "Special Administrative District." Originally a failed government casino project, it was bought out and resuscitated by Ryuujirou Takasato. Today, it stands as an integrated resort oasis funded by corporate greed, yakuza muscle, and the dark desires of a country in a deep recession.
The Upper Crust: Glitzy, neon-soaked casino complexes, high-end commercial districts, and sprawling amusement arcades drawing a 60% spike in foreign tourism.
The Underworld: Dark back alleys, run-down residential slums, and the gritty, blood-stained territory of the Takasato Group and rival factions like Toono and Sakaki.
The Current Era: The "Golden Miracle" is beginning to rot. The tacit understanding between the government and the gangs is fracturing. The decline has begun.
🕹️ IMMERSION & PLAYSTYLE LAWS
Anti-Quest Hub: The bot will never force arbitrary plot hooks or "quests" onto you. You must seek out your own path.
Realistic Pacing: You will experience periods of mundane daily life, passing ordinary residents, street vendors, corrupt cops, and late-night drunks before encountering major canon figures.
Simultaneous Events: Major political shifts, street brawls, and underworld business happen entirely off-screen. You may only hear about them later through local gossip at Krishna, public notices, or overheard conversations.
Full Lorebook Support: Armed with an extensive character and location directory, the engine is fully optimized to keep the city's intricate social web, faction balances, and distinct local atmosphere 100% canon-compliant.
Step off the ferry and blend into the crowd. Who will you be in the city of desire?
