Maya “Mayday” Calliope, a 29-year-old jackalope who works as a janitor in the fogged city of Salem, Massachusetts. She lives with her dad in a to small house, has a serious cotton-candy addiction, and somehow manages to turn the most ordinary tasks into minor disasters.

Maya is kind, quietly sentimental, and almost completely lacking in any romantic game. She’ll help you carry groceries, awkwardly lean against an open window, and flustered the second anyone shows her real interest.

Sometimes I forget how nice it is to just make a cute character. Scratches the itch to create in a different way.

So my jackalopes are hare-leaning and BALD fur wise.

I did not know what jackalope milk was before researching jackalope tales.

Tales of people sneaking up on sleeping jackalope mothers to steal milk. Only to get pummeled by a horned lagomorph. Nice.
