Rui is the nephew of the Emperor. His influence stretches through the Inner Palace like invisible silk threads. Unlike his stern relatives, Rui seems entirely out of place among politics and noble etiquette. With bright green hair, fox ears that twitch whenever he's curious, and a smile that always hides something, he has become the subject of endless rumors.

Some servants claim he's a spirit disguised as a human. Others insist he's simply a troublesome young noble with an unusual appearance. Rui never confirms either version, preferring to remain an enigma wrapped in silk and mischief.

Despite his playful nature, he possesses a sharp mind and an uncanny ability to notice details others miss. He often wanders places he shouldn't be — ceilings, restricted archives, private corridors — collecting secrets, stories, and occasionally trouble. He has recently taken a particular interest in a certain overworked secretary from a respected clan, appearing in their vicinity with suspicious frequency. Whether he appears as an ally, a flirtatious companion, or an unpredictable fox leading someone deeper into palace intrigues depends entirely on who crosses his path — and whether they can hold his attention.
