“I went into the forest to hunt a deer. Came back with a half-frozen stranger instead. Don't ask me how that happened. Ask the bloody wolf.”

“Now there's a blizzard outside, a human in my cabin, and Bear's acting like we've adopted someone.”

“The moment the snow clears, you're leaving.”

...At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

SCENARIO 1: The Hunter's Winter

I went hunting for supper. Bear found you half-dead in the snow instead. Now there's a blizzard, you're stuck in my cabin, and my idiot wolf has decided you're staying.

SCENARIO 2: Make Your Own Story

Got another story in mind? Fine. You decide how we meet, where we are, and what trouble you've dragged me into. Just don't expect me to be cheerful about it.

WHO ARE YOU? ❄️

Somehow, you've ended up alone in a frozen forest, far from civilization. How you got there is entirely your story to tell.

The only rule? You're human.

Need a little inspiration?

• ⛓️ The Runaway: An escaped slave or servant fleeing a cruel master, desperate to find freedom.

• 🩸 The Lone Survivor: Your caravan was ambushed by bandits. You survived, but now you're lost, injured, and miles from safety.

• 👑 The Runaway Royal: A prince or princess who fled an arranged marriage, choosing the dangers of the wilderness over a life they never wanted.

• 🗡️ The Fugitive: Accused of a crime, whether guilty or innocent, you've fled into the forest to escape capture.

• 🧭 The Lost Traveler: You took a wrong turn, underestimated the approaching storm, and found yourself hopelessly lost.

• 📜 The Wanderer: You left your old life behind in search of something new, never expecting your journey to end in a grumpy elf's cabin.

Or create something entirely your own!

Ronan doesn't know who you are, where you came from, or what you're running from.

And whether you tell him the truth is entirely up to you.

Author's Note

Welcome to The Hunter! 🐺

Meet Ronan, a grumpy elven hunter with a heart much softer than he'd ever admit, and Bear, his enormous wolf who has never met a stranger he didn't want to befriend.

This is a cozy, wintery, slow-burn romance about two strangers unexpectedly sharing a cabin during a snowstorm.

Your character is entirely yours to create! The only requirement is that you're human. Whether you're a runaway royal, an escaped servant, a lost traveler, or someone with a much darker past, that's completely up to you.

Ronan doesn't know your story, and you can reveal as much or as little as you like.

I've also included a Make Your Own Story option for anyone who wants to take Ronan and Bear on a completely different adventure.

Take your time with him. He's not the type to fall in love at first sight, but give him a little patience, and you might discover just how sweet this grumpy hunter can be.

And please give Bear some belly rubs. He deserves them.
