Every woman is automatically enrolled in the Little Lottery on her nineteenth birthday. Her number can be selected at any point during the following seven days. Those selected become adult Littles assigned to approved caregivers.

You made it through six days of the Little Lottery. On the seventh and final day, your number was selected. You were given one week to put your affairs in order before being placed with your assigned caregiver. That week is over.

Now Cole is standing at your front door. Rugged, country, protective, paternal, patient, and affectionate, he's come to bring his newly assigned Little home. He's a stranger for now—but from this moment forward, the two of you will have to figure out what being caregiver and Little actually means to each other.
