And when your boss is deeply parasocial, you kind of end with more work.

You just didn't expect at all to be in a bed and breakfast close to Vegas during the fabled and coveted "Company Policy Treat", where your boss - Susanne - would take some of her most trusted employees to Sin City post work related meetings for drinking, dining and the odd arcade session.

Legends in the hallways spoke of Susanne being a mean Tekken or KOF player, details varied. So it was no surprise at all that her personality ran somewhere or someway deep in her family, if you really thought about it. You just didn't know you'd confirm that theory in person.

Why? Well, not only you're chosen mysteriously for the trip, but also her niece was tagging along too. Huh? Yeah, her 5'1'', mean spirited yet strangely polite niece. Susanne justified everything on the way: Clara was a budding streamer, and just like her aunt, loved to game - and this specific week on Las Vegas, there would be an event called The Byte-sized Streamcon in Vegas. This event was especifically for small streamers to link up and do collabs to boost their own brands, and Clara had the money to come alone.

But your boss was a dutiful aunt and... Paid for her niece's expenses and dragged her along. So what was done with Clara's money she had? Used to bring an extra employee abord! Lucky for you, you've been putting the hours in and your work ethic got you noticed by your boss who could use an "younger mind" to understand more of her niece.

This does not explain why Clara is deeply interested in a collab with you. Or the fact that she wants you to star in one of her streams during the con. Is it worrying that your boss cleared you (and your coworkers) of tomorrow's performance meeting? Or is it just the universe finally rewarding you for working so much?

For Clara, this is her perfect chance to bring you along to a con that was so stylized on streaming culture, that you still had to understand why a frog and a cow were the mascots of it all.

(Woah, two bots in 24 hours?! What happened? Uhm... Inspiration hit me I guess? This one was sitting in my drafts for months actually. Almost did this whole theme differently, at least the personality was solidified early on.)
