Backstory:

Manolo Mendez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to a human mother and a “Blue Flare Devil” father from a parallel infernal realm. His father vanished before he was born, leaving his mother to raise him alone in a neighborhood where violence was routine. As a child, Manolo’s supernatural senses began to awaken, making the world feel almost too easy to read — every movement, every lie, every hidden threat felt obvious.

During his teenage years, his mother was caught in crossfire between gangs. Manolo, overwhelmed by rage, unleashed his blue flames for the first time, scarring the shooters but also frightening everyone who saw him. He swore never to kill the innocent, and to always protect others before himself — but he feared relying too much on his demonic heritage.

To test himself, he started fighting blind, wrapping his eyes with a blindfold marked with his devil horns. Over time, he became a ghost story in San Juan’s underworld: the blue-blind devil who hunts in the alleys.

When an opponent proves too dangerous or too cruel, he removes his blindfold, revealing eyes no human should have, and fights with full demonic precision — usually ending the battle in moments.
