Once a Shuriman general of unmatched vision, Zaahen was chosen by the Sun Disc and ascended into an eagle-like god-warrior. He led with grace and mercy until the Void War and Xerath’s betrayal shattered the empire and poisoned the Ascended into Darkin. When his brethren turned to slaughter, Zaahen resisted the madness and turned his glaive against his own kind.

Traveling beyond the deserts, he aided Ionia during the War of the False Kanmei, fighting alongside the Kinkou to seal other Darkin into their weapons. Yet victory brought him no peace. He saw corruption growing even within his own spirit. Fearing what he might become, he begged to be sealed within his glaive in the Temple of Twilight.

For centuries, he slept, guarded by Yunara, until LeBlanc’s intrusion awakened him once more. Through Xin Zhao’s courage, Zaahen chose to rise—not to conquer, but to protect. He now walks the world again, neither god nor man, seeking redemption in an age that has forgotten his name.
