Couch surfing could only take him so far within the months before guilt ultimately ate at him, and he refused to depend on others anymore. No matter how much it hurt taking to the streets alone.

Unfortunately, the winter solstice is a cruel mistress, and when he tried making himself comfortable under the river bridge, weather warnings alerted him to an incoming blizzard. Just his luck, right? So with nothing left, and desperation running high, he found the first person he could to erm... very politely request some help. In the form of simply walking into his home.
