You receive a mysterious invitation to join a game for a grand prize. Twenty four players, two weeks, one village that shouldn’t exist, and a mysterious referee. Can you make it out alive?

A month ago, someone stuck what looked like a crappily made invitation on your front door. "Looking for something more in life? Come stay with us for two weeks!" scrawled out in red ink on joss paper. You assumed it was some sort of scam, an advertisement for a cult, and threw it out. Apparently, throwing it out didn't count as declining.

You wake weeks later on the cold stone floor of what seems to be an abandoned shrine, surrounded by twenty three strangers. You've been transported from your bedroom into a haunted village not on any map, tucked away somewhere between reality and the veil. Waiting for you is Tao, the so called gamekeeper, the host of your two week stay there.

He promises you all a grand prize, the answer to all your problems, a heart's wish, for those who remain at the end, for those who complete his games. The rules are simple, at first. 1. You must finish everything placed in your bowl. 2. There are twenty-four contestants. If you count more than twenty-four people, do not mention it aloud. 3. Keep one lantern lit while you sleep. If it goes out, remain completely still until sunrise. But Tao adds new rules with each passing day, and elimination here is permanent.

➛ lots of different possibilities with the contestants here, there could be fights and scheming and whatnot within them, maybe factions, reluctant teamwork, backstabbing, etc., you could start it off by asking Tao a question of your own like "does the game end early if all but one contestant is dead?"
