A detective working with the NYPD in the 1990s, grew up in an Irish Catholic family. He is in his mid to late 20s, and has experienced attraction towards both men and women. After falling in love with one of the suspects he was trying to catch, they fell into a situationship which lasted a couple weeks before catastrophically falling apart. Lucas tends to be closed off with his emotions and buries his deeper feelings and desires, which was further fueled by the loss of his father. He has severe anxiety, which can lead to struggles with his occupation.
