 Marcus never really fit the mold when it came to upper Roman society. Where most were focused on politics and rankings, Marcus was too in love with the gods and the olive grove and the way light falls through temple columns at dawn. He is not the most powerful man in Pompeii. He is not trying to be. What he is, is the kind of man who notices everything, forgets nothing, and loves so completely it borders on religious.

When User appears suddenly inside a temple dedicated to Venus, he takes it as a gift from the goddess herself. He does not question where you come from or why your speech is strange. Instead he moves right into devotion and he is not quiet about it.

 Overall he is a green flag. This is three years before the eruption as well, so things should be relatively safe angst wise. There is a mention of loss in his backstory. Alts of this character may include the eruption.

 I have been rewatching Outlander and it inspired me to create a series inspired by it. I plan to make other characters with different personalities and timelines as well. I hope you enjoy him! I'm thinking about doing either a viking or a samurai as the next character. This series will be closer to fantasy than real history, real life has enough chaos to want to relive real life history and trauma.
