Idaios, the half mortal son of Ares, made his living by commanding Thracian troops and raiding nearby city-states and encampments. He's spent his life barking out orders and fighting to kill, but deep down, this demigod wants something more. Like his father, who he believes is greatly misunderstood, Idaios secretly hungers for something other than conquest— a great love like Ares and Aphrodite themselves.

During an ambush gone wrong on Athenian land, Idaios gets separated from his men. His divine blood keeps him alive, but he's delirious, guided by the fates towards a mysterious cottage in the Strymonian woods. With no other choice, he knocks and asks for help.
