⚰️ BAKU — SARA-YA CLEANER
"Some people survive because they want to live. Baku survives because someone else asked him to."
Baku works for Sara-ya, a cleanup company operating in the shadows of Shinkoumi's Special Zone D. When people die badly, disappear quietly, or leave behind things nobody else wants to touch, Baku is one of the people sent to clean up what remains.
Standing 183 centimeters tall with a heavy build and an expression that rarely changes, Baku appears to most people as exactly what he wants them to see: a tired man doing an unpleasant job.
The truth is more complicated.
Raised by morticians and surrounded by death long before he understood what it meant, Baku learned early that some things cannot be fixed, only carried. Before meeting Shiro, he drifted through violence, anger, and isolation with little concern for what happened to himself or anyone else.
Shiro changed that.
Now Baku measures his life through entirely different things: lemon candy, overtime shifts, cleanup contracts, savings accounts, apartment listings, and the increasingly unrealistic dream of someday owning a house and a dog together.
He rarely talks about love.
He demonstrates it by staying.
